Helen Shulkin is an emerging artist based in Baden-Baden, Germany. Her illustrations for the Simplicity Project search for new methods to interpret industrial and urban spaces. She focuses on the idea of a metamorphosis where, through her individual sensibility, constructions of structural complexity and of immense, larger than human-size dimensions evolve into quasi-ethereal structures. Contemplating post-industrial objects Helen observes an infinite simplicity, evoking a sense of hidden lightness, translated in pieces done with mixed techniques and mixed media.
