On show at the London Design Festival 2016, Connector is a collection of shoes designed by architectural engineer and fashion designer Jayda Hany, inspired by architectural complex structures. The designers deconstructs the internal workings of the shoe by showing the impact on walking. To do so she explores structural architecture, truss systems and load distribution.

This structural footwear collection combines architectural techniques, traditional footwear making, 3D Printing technology, with tensile and compressive forces in footwear construction. The sole units convey a relationship of transparency between the shoe as a product and the user, where the user is able to clearly view how the elements are connected, and how the shoe as a whole is assembled.
