The insect-shaped vases by Israeli artist and designer Ohad Benit are crafted from glass residues that become a one-stem flower vessel. Combined with brass wire they take on shapes that recall the world of insects, resembling the movement of grasshoppers or locusts. The ephemeral result is a representation of Benit’s approach, where art and design blur, translating psychological moods and feelings that depict reality in its fragility. The pieces were part of a multi-language exhibition at the SAGA gallery in Tel Aviv, held in March, 2017.
