“Cities and Memory – the Architecture and the City” is an illustration project by Portuguese architect Marta Vilarinho de Freitas. Her personal view of cities is a journey through the imaginary worlds that architecture can inspire: a story of lines that start from the very detail, ant then gradually fill out the white sheet, materializing old and new scenarios. Marta graduated in architecture in Oporto in 2009 and uses speculative drawings as a philosophic means to understanding the urban scape. Here a selection of drawings from 2015 to 2017.
