Wandering through the Salone del Mobile’ halls, it soon becomes clear who was born under the sign of Virgo. It’s easy to recognize by the way they walk from stand  to stand, without precise logic, a predetermined path or any kind of orthogonal awareness to ensure maximum coverage with minimum effort. Those born under the sign of Virgo prefer to peruse around with no apparent rationality, bopping from Salone Satellite dedicated to modern products, to Salone Internazionale del Bagno then to Eurocucina in less than ten minutes. they were not even a mix between Pietro Mennea and Usain Bolt. Well, come on, you know it better than me, you have thousands of good qualities, but for sure strength and speed are not among them. This year though it seems that someone has taken a cue from your imaginative and unpredictable walk and dedicated a table to it. Yes, your Del Piero-esque foot path inspired the Compasso d’Oro designer Xavier Lust to propose the table, Confluence, to Pianca and whose metal legs seem to also wander aimlessly. This year you will be tired as much as you will be happy and proud to have found someone who understands you deeply. Who cares if it is only a table. (translation by Stefania Quaini / Erin Russo)

The following astrological horoscopes  were born from a verbal confrontation between a self-proclaimed architect  and an uninsured city planner and are lacking any sound foundation. The following statements are an excuse to re-imagine the way in which we experience the Salone del Mobile 2014, and the surrounding area. All islands included and Chinese calendars permitting.
