Parisian artist Sara Favriau (born in 1983) graduated in 2007 from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, in Paris. In her fragile worlds she explores ancient and current practices blending classical techniques with contemporary ones. Her research is a poetic reflection on history’s mechanisms. She starts from materials mostly collected from the industry world, and frees them from their expected role to become something simpler. This procedure is the starting point to build a new story. Favriau has been awarded several prizes, such as the Prix Découverte des Amis du Palais de Tokyo and the Best Installation Prize at the YIA Art Fair in 2014. Her works have been acquired by the Fondation Louis Vuitton.
