At the Milan Design Week, even your local bakery might suddently feature a five-star design interior. In the Brera Design District Hermès has taken over some very unexpected places, with its “wallpaper guerrilla”. The French maison applied the new paper collections on some of the most symbolic local walls – be it a ‘bar’ or a ‘gelateria’. This section of the luxury brand started in 2011, when Hermés conceived new interiors to turn domestic environments into fantastic and poetic worlds. The newest collection used to pimp-up Milan features illustrations by Gianpaolo Pagni (Mille Jeux), Nigel Peake (Les Carreaux, Les Cabanes and the iconic Promenade au Faubourg).
