Millo, The power of imagination, Kremenchuk penitentiary, Ukraine, 2017

Italian street artist Francesco Camillo Giorgino, known as Millo, created a new wall in the juvenile penitentiary of Kremenchuk, in Ukraine. The project is part of  Back to School Ukraine curated by Seth Land and Oleg Sosnov with the support of UNICEF Ukraine and Sky Art Foundation. Calling for imagination as a key to never stop dreaming and encouraging the development of our own potential, The power of imagination aims to give hope and strength to all of those who are living a difficult journey. The penitentiary hosts around 40 teenagers prisoners from 14 to 22 years old who have committed different crimes. Back to School Ukraine project is devoted to children and has the aim to create murals in schools, nursery schools, institutes and even in the juvenile penitentiaries. The goal is to bring art to children who live in remote corners of Ukraine and are experiencing poverty, war or detention. The projects strongly believes that only with the help of not indifferent people it is possible to make a change.
