Hoodmaps is a crowdsourced map that divides cities into hipsters, tourists, rich, normies, suits and university areas. The site is a playing tool, where you can “colour” the areas of a certain city that responds to one of the mentioned areas, in addition you can also tag with names or short description. The result is a coloured, shared map that gives you a general overview of how certain areas are perceived by its inhabitants/users. The site was founded by Pieter Levels, creator of the 12 startups in 12 months project – which saw the launch of world-acclaimed websites like Nomad list, Remote ok, Nomad Jobs, Gifbook, GoFuckingDoIt.
