OràScappo / Aries

Concept, location, party, free-press, temporary shop, live performance showroom. These are the favorite words (and perhaps the only ones) used by people born under the sign of Aries during the Salone del Mobile. Like every year, in this 2014 edition you will be the ones always running late, arriving last minute, looking a bit messy (but surely never smelly) and equipped with a toothbrush in your bag and toothpaste in your pocket. You will be the ones, at 5 am, to come up with a phrase like, “Why don’t we crash Tom’s party so we can catch Dick towards the end and maybe, if we’re lucky, we’ll also find Harry before last call? “.

Stop it. You’re no longer twenty. This year, try to approach your week more calmly. Rent a hotel room and turn down the usual mini-apartment shared with 5 other not-so-young friends. At the end of the day, I’m sure you’ll desperately need the peace and quiet. For all of these (trivial) reasons I suggest that you take a moment to observe and maybe even ‘test sit’ the Chaise, the latest armchair designed by Mario Botta for Morelato. It is definitely beautiful but who knows if it will be comfortable as well? If it isn’t, at least you have a good and acceptable excuse to get up in a hurry and run to the next cocktail party in Zona Tortona. Before arriving, however, remember to make use of the toothbrush in the pocket One never knows. (translation by Stefania Quaini / Erin Russo)

The following astrological horoscopes  were born from a verbal confrontation between a self-proclaimed architect  and an uninsured city planner and are lacking any sound foundation. The following statements are an excuse to re-imagine the way in which we experience the Salone del Mobile 2014, and the surrounding area. All islands included and Chinese calendars permitting.
